Wilder was the second album by The Teardrop Explodes. It was written exclusively by Julian Cope and was more diverse in sound than Kilimanjaro.
This CD reissue features 8 tracks reputedly from a US only release entitled Buff Manilla. Other than the reference to Buff Manilla on the cover of this CD I can find no information whatsoever to verify its existence. Perhaps our readers in the USA will provide us with some info?
I was a big Teardrops fan back when but I do not remember such a thing as Buff Manilla.

Buff Manila was the moniker Gary Dwyer used on a weird version of "Kwalo Koblinsky's Lullaby" which was only released on the Zoo Records compilation called "To The Shores Of Lake Placid". It featured Julian Cope "intoning" under the name of Kevin Stapleton. The album featured unreleased tracks by The Bunnymen, Teardrops, Lori and the Chameleons etc. I have a copy, it is a beautiful gatefold with embossed sleeve and large photographs. Bill Drummond published a little booklet called "from The Shores of Lake Placid" in 1998. It was published by The Penkiln Burn.
